Maclane Zich

Hi, I’m Maclane Zich, a junior at Benet Academy. My journey in computer science began in my freshman year, where I found a great appreciation for its impact—especially in healthcare, quantum computing, and education. However, learning about the digital divide made me realize that many students don’t have the same opportunities I did to explore this field.

 

This realization, combined with my passion for teaching and mentorship, led to the creation of CYAI. Our mission is to bridge educational gaps by providing students with meaningful, peer-to-peer learning experiences in computer science, financial literacy, and leadership. Seeing younger students light up as they grasp new concepts is incredibly rewarding, and I’m proud to play a role in empowering the next generation.

 

Through CYAI, I hope to continue expanding access to high-quality education, ensuring that all students—regardless of background—have the resources and support they need to succeed.
